So, when you hear folks saying “Well, the president shouldn’t want massive job-killing tax increases when the economy is this weak.” Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years.

2 Responses to Obama promises “massive job-killing tax increases” if re-elected
This posting is ridiculous. He did not promise any such thing. He said, “Nobody’s talking about raising taxes right now.” He has talked about letting the Bush tax cuts expire for upper income brackets and this would happen in 2013 or beyond.
You took his denial of “massive, job killing tax increases” and conflated it with his reference to his oft stated intention to end the Bush tax cuts for people with incomes over 200,000 and presented a false claim that he is vowing massive, job killing tax increases in 2013.

Deplorable!
Ridiculous? The full content of this post is a direct quote from the president. If you don’t like the juxtaposition, take it up with him!
